My Approach

My counseling style is based on theories from attachment and family systems, and I mostly use techniques from solution-focused and cognitive behavioral therapy. That means that therapy can start by understanding how someone feels, thinks, or acts. Then I help with problem-solving and exploring identity, autonomy, pleasure, and wonder.

My Education

  • I got my Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling in 2010 from Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA

while working as a bookseller in Village Books.

  • I got my Bachelor of Science and Honors degrees from Westminster College in Salt Lake City, UT before having the opportunity to work in the therapeutic preschool at The Children’s Center.
